Winter is Coming

I've been  fan of the Game of Thrones since the series started. It was a good break from our own been-there-done-that cliched whose-son-am-I-me-and-my-love-cant-be-together telenovelas.

The Game of Thrones was originally a series of books written by George R.R Martin. As of date it already has 6 books. I bought one of his book  "A Clash of King" which was the sequel to first book but I left in Cavite so I was not able to finish it. Anyway, the first season of the series really amazed me. They have an amazing story, amazing cast, amazing setting and all that jazz!

I immediately fell in love with Emilia Clarke who plays Daenarys Targaryen. She was beyond beautiful, and that scene where she slowly walks into a hot tub, was beyond words! Don;t let her looks fool you though, after all she's a Targaryen, dragon's blood flows though her veins. She struggled throughout the first and second season. From losing his husband to losing her dragons. By far she is one of my favorite character, and my unofficial wife .
Another of my favorite character is Peter Dinklage as Tyrion Lannister. He's painfully witty and smart. If you're living under rock, you will be surprised to know that he suffers from dwarfism. Again, don't let his looks fool you, for he can outwit, outsmart and out last you.

Other characters I found interesting are Arya Stark, Cersei Lannister, and Jon Snow.

If you are looking for a series that is not centered on long lost son and love alone, but rather gives this old age themes a new twists, then the Game of Thrones is for you.
